Product Description
There have been thousands of books written about prayer and millions of sermons preached about it, yet people continue to wonder: Why doesn’t God answer me when I cry out to him? In light of all the problems we face in life, we want to know why God is often so “silent” when we pray to him. Anthony DeStefano, author of the bestselling A Travel Guide to Heaven, knew there had to be an answer to this mystery, so he set out on a quest to find prayers that God says yes to all the time. The result is an extraordinary new book that has the ability to dramatically change the lives of readers of all faiths.
Each short, powerful prayer in Ten Prayers God Always Says Yes To addresses a particular problem people commonly face in life—from accepting the existence of God to trying to make ends meet; from getting through terrible suffering to coping with everyday stress; from overcoming fear to finding your God-given destiny. Presented with a certainty and vigor that are sure to pique the interest of even those who are not spiritually inclined, these prayers will help readers find solutions to life’s most difficult situations and provide meaningful and inspiring answers to the vexing questions we have about the purpose of our time on earth.
In a world awash with superficial self-help books and deceptive gimmicks, Ten Prayers God Always Says Yes To is the real thing. Using hundreds of scriptural references to support his claims, DeStefano writes in a simple, straightforward, and uplifting manner that makes the most profound theological matters understandable to all. In the words of the author, “This is a spiritual treasure chest that is available to everyone….This book is about prayers that work—really, truly work.”
Ten Prayers God Always Says Yes To: Divine Answers to Life’s Most Difficult Problems

Sam Harris once said (accurately) pretending to know things you do not know is the sine qua non of religion. This book is an ample demonstration of that fact. The author constantly claims to know what God thinks, what God is like, what God values, why God answers prayers (but only certain prayers), etc… Of course, he doesn’t know any of this; for that matter he doesn’t know if God exists. The book establishes a double standard common through religious literature: if God doesn’t answer a prayer, there must be a good reason for the denial. We poor flawed humans cannot question the will of the Almighty. As my uncle says, God works in mysterious ways. But is it not possible, readers of the review, that God answers no prayers because he doesn’t exist? Strange how no amputees are healed by prayer–ever.
I’m just going to come out and say it: If you spend a cent of money on this, you are a fool.

This book was less practical than what I would have wanted in a book about prayer. I was looking for a book that helped me to understand prayer better and to help me feel more comfortable about prayer. A better book for me wasSix Prayers God Always Answers. This book taught me how prayer isn’t about praying the “right” way; it’s about a conversation with God.

I bought a book from Amazon, more specifically Hippo-Books. It said “good” condition and I wouldn’t argue with that except for one random page (149-150)was ripped out. Annoying, but not the worst thing. I don’t know though…$4 shipping on a $5 book? Shipping said it could take 20 days for the $4. I guess I thought that no way could that happen because if you stuck it in a first class, padded envelope and dropped it in the mail, it might take 4-5 days to go across country. But they figured out a way to really make it take that long. The whole thing was hardly worth the wait. It is, however, the first used book I ever bought on the internet…maybe this is all normal? -D.

I have read the Bible cover to cover twice and this book sums up alot of what God is trying to help us all know about his amazing grace. Mr. DeStefano hit the nail on the head and helps us all understand that God wants us to pray and he wants to answer us. A true interpretation of His Word. Written for everyone!
